I am sorry to bother ya'll with this question but what do you call that little piece that connects the motor to the rod that holds the egg racks?[IMG] My GFQ egg rotator piece broke. I can't find it for sale, but might have more luck if I knew what to call it.

If you are talking about the rod coming out of the back of the motor. That would be the motor shaft.

Quote:I had one break also. I call it the conncting rod or push rod..
I made one out of a piece of oak.
Pine is too soft for that application.. maple or hickory would also work..

did you try super glue?? I could not because I did not have both pieces..

I think hes talking about the cam. The part that is on the end of the motor shaft an moves the connecting rod. Looks sorta like a "Z" from the side.

The only parts GQF sells are the bar and the motor -- my guess is the piece that connects the motor to the bar would come built into the motor.

    all GQF auto-turner replacement parts

now that I re-read your note, I am thinking it is the part connected to the motor also.. You might have to take the motor apart to replace that part.. maybe somebody has a burned out motor that you could salvage the part from..

it might be called a cam drive??

    Thanks everyone! [IMG]

I would try super glue but I think it(the shaft?) might have been inadverantly thrown out in the crazy holliday clean up. [IMG] I will keep looking though... I will also check at our local feed store Monday. Here is a pic if it helps, of were it would go.
