Hey everyone I found some eggs I want to buy off ebay. How do I make it so Ebay automatically bids for me when someone else bids? All the info I've read on the computer just simply says type in how much you are willing to pay on the item and it will do it automatically. But It seems like if the auction is at 0.99 cents and I place a bid for 40.00 dollars the whole product will go up to 40.00 dollars.

Can anyone help???????????????

No, if the item is at 99 cents and bid increments are 1 dollar, the computer will put your bid in at 1.99. If someone else bids a max of 5 dollars, then your bid will be increased to $6. You will only lose the bid if someone else bids 40.01 or above.

So I just simply go to the auction I want and type in 40.00? Like I don't have to do anything special in order for it to do the automatically bidding thing? Just go to the auction and type in 40.00?

It also depends on if it has a reserve. If the reserve is 40.00 and your max is 40.00 then it will jump to that price and say the reserve has been met.
