I am getting ready to put up a new pen for my peafowl. The area is roughly 50 x 100 give or take. I need to know if it is better to buy it in one piece? Buy in smaller pieces (cheaper) and put together? What strength do I need? What size holes 1 or 2 inch? I am clueless but want a good pen that will last a long time.
Thanks,
B.K.

I just put netting on my pheasants pen, also a large one, and I
went with smaller pieces and put them together....went this way so
I could handle the netting my self.....it has 1" holes in it....

I am a older lady and like to try and do things for myself......

I can relate. We have a to-do list a mile long. We already have a fence up and the roost building built, I just get confused with weight, color, hole size etc... How did you put the pieces together?

RedBrush,,, Where do you live in Mo.? I live SE of Springfield ( 3 miles North of Bruner ), Mo and your welcome to come and look at my pens with nets and birds if you like and are close enough , George A. Conner

Thanks for the offer. We live near Cape Girardeau, MO. We have been planning a trip to Springfield to go to Bass Pro. If it works out I would really like to come by and see your pens. Is it ok to pm you when we have finalized plans and see if we can work out a time?
Thanks,
B.K.

My daughter and her BF went to bass pro today .
They are on vacation just traveling around, yesterday they stoped in hot springs Arkansas

I prefer one piece. I have tried attaching smaller pieces together but you really have to attach every other loop and that becomes hard work. I have previously tried zip ties but found them to fail to quickly and unexpectedly. Chicken wire rings are the best for putting them together.

I used to buy 1" square kotted, but now use 1.5" and 2" knotted netting and it works fine.
