There is nothing nasty about nature. Eating the placenta stimulates the uterus to contract. This helps push out the next baby and keeps the mother from bleeding out. It gives the mother a rich snack to keep her strength up. It also gets rid of "the nasty" that might draw predators to come and eat the babies. Mother cleaning the babies serves much the same purposes, it stimulates the babies to breathe and to poop out the meconium plug, otherwise the puppies would die. Nature knows what it's doing.Though her licking their bottoms is probably grosser I suppose![]()
Oh I know, haha. I've been at plenty of births and seen many nasty things. I was just joking because I always say Avery is my princess. She acts like a human so it's just funny picturing her doing those things. There is nothing nasty about nature. Eating the placenta stimulates the uterus to contract. Day 60 is the 24th, day 63 is the 27th.Whenisare her due dates? (60 and 63 days)? I'm down for 9 puppies. How many litters has she had, and how many in each litter?
I'm sort of in the market for a Golden, with no luck. But Avery is looking very attractive to me ... maybe we could talk in a pm.
It helps with the contractionsYou do know she's going to eat then nasty sacks that come out of her right? I don't think I realize that the first time I saw a dog have puppies... that they actually ate that nastiness.
before you know it she will start to wean those pups and will want some "me" time.Yeah... yucky. Maybe I'll just take them as they come out, lol. She will not be sleeping in my bed again after they're born until they're sold.![]()
