AYAM CEMANI - BREEDING & DISCUSSION.

Pics
Anyone know anything about this website for buying Ayam Cemani chickens? Are they pure? https://www.ayamcemanichicks.com/

I've never heard of them, but that's not saying much, lol... many of the pics are black and white so not good for evaluating quality... seems like a lot of 'catch phrases' and little bare bones info... biggest thing that bothers me is they have an order minimum of 2 for adult cockbirds... a minimum for chicks is understandable, but not for adults...

JMO...

Yeah, that's why I wasn't sure and thought to ask here. This breed of chicken caught my eye and i am very interested at getting a pair, but Greenfire Farms where many people seems to buy their stock from is a bit beyond my budget, especially since they seem to require a minimum order of 6. That's my understanding at least. 6 chicks at $400 a pop is too much for me at my current income.

With chicks, it is best to always ship a group of at least 6 or more of any variety... shipping can be hard and the more to huddle together to keep warm, the better... withinn reason, of course...

Are you looking to breed or for yard candy?

I'll most likely breed them. I live in Northern California in a very rural area and I've found only the most common breeds of chickens around here. However, a large number of the locals are looking for more unusual chicken breeds, particularly as pets and 'yard candy.' I am hoping to canter to them as there's nothing for at least 200 miles in any direction, let alone unusual chicken breeds. One has to travel a whole lot more for that.

There are AC breeders in CA.. might be easier to source close to you...

Oh, okay. Well, I'll give it a go and join the group there. Thank you very much for your help! ^_^

EDIT. Apparently I need to pay a fee to join this FB group and their website no longer exists. Go figure. ._. Ill keep looking though. There's bound to be something somewhere.
