Is it worth buying some Ayam Cemani chickens? I know they’re extremely expensive but they do look nice, and obviously sell for a lot. I’m just worried if one gets preyed on or gets ill, it’d have lost a lot of money.

If you aren't going to breed them then I wouldn't. They are too expensive to have around just for yard candy.
They get sick and preyed on like any other chicken. Like all single combed breeds they are prone to frostbite during the winter.

Don't pay any money for them. There are people giving the roosters away, hens pretty cheap. Everybody paid lots of money for them thinking they would get rich. They obviously never heard of a pyramid scheme (the top is where you want to be). Pretty much anybody that wanted them already has them. A lot of people that have them don't really want them any more. They have come to the realization that they bought birds that don't lay all that well, aren't very big for eating, and aren't the hardiest thing in the world, that are spotty at best for producing the desired color scheme. The market for medicinal black meat was already being filled by Silkies and Hmong chickens. The tip of the pyramid is already on to bigger and better things. In about 25 years they will be a rare breed that might be valuable.

We have 3 Ayam Cemani. They are beautiful, love them. I am from Indonesia and my family owns several Ayam Cemani for pets back home. But then again, I am obsessed with chickens

Those birds are over priced, they are very common now. I would advise not placing one dime on them

Do you hatch the eggs just like regular chicken eggs?

I have a few, I won a dozen eggs on a contest here last year. I only have 4 now, though. 3 hens and 1 rooster. The roosters are very aggressive (mine are). I rehomed 3 roosters recently, they were just too much to handle. On the contrary, the girls are sweethearts, and make good broodies

If I had had the chance to buy them, I wouldn't have. They are not cold or heat hardy, are very tricky to breed, and (as mentioned above) the roosters are very temperamental.

I want to sell my last Ayam Cemani rooster, he isn't aggressive like his brother was. He is very good with the girls, but if any other rooster gets near his girls he turns into a monster I would keep him if it wasn't for my other rooster, Charlie.

You don't have to pay a lot if you don't mind a mulberry comb and wattles, white toenails, or some leakage in the feathers.
I didn't pay a whole lot for mine and they're actually pretty decent quality.
