What mixes did you have and how did they look? They are lovely birds look wise. They don't lay a ton of egg though. They go broody. The eggs are not huge. They are flighty also. I have hatched one, adopted one, (pures) then I also had mixes.
I’ve been having trouble getting cooperative subjects, I got one of this pretty boy but it doesn’t do him justice. He is very striking and has black legs but his feet are bright yellow On the bottom so they flash behind him when he walks. I’ll keep trying to get pictures though.okay, please do!
They are very beautiful! I used to breed AC's. But I just don't have the space and time for them sadly.I recently acquired several hens, four roosters, I have about 7 teenagers and five babies that were hatched by mama. They are all Greenfire Farms and Raven, really sweet, even the roosters are gentle. One hen went broody and was a great mama. I’m attaching pics, they are all so beautiful![]()
Your hens are beautiful! The youngsters I acquired are beautiful and very sweet, as are the ones I hatched. We will see what the spring holds as far as demand. I obtained them with the thought we would be breeding, but I can’t stand the thought of culling the sweeties because of one partial tan toenail or other genetic fluke. I just enjoy them most of allThey are very beautiful! I used to breed AC's. But I just don't have the space and time for them sadly.
