hi, I have just bought a trio of Ayam Cemani I am trying to find other birds to try to make some unrelated groups, if any one has any information of anyone who may sell eggs please let me know, many thanks.

I just started to breed Ayam Cemani chickens, as I finally managed to get some eggs from a European (Belgium) breeder. Please visit ayamcemani.tumblr.com for more information. I don't know where you (Mimberly) are located, but maybe we can exchange eggs? Please post some photo's of your chickens for reference. Btw, I am located in the Netherlands, but planning to breed overseas (America, Africa and/or Asia) when demand is high enough.

Ayam Cemani lay a white egg, i have 12 in an incubator and several under a broody hen

Hi sorry for the late reply I live in Cumbria, England. We have just hatched our first Cemani chicks, they look very odd amongst my Polish Chicks and are becoming very dominant but are very lovely

I can't find the pictures of my hens on the computer, I will find and post soon.
Thank you for your replies I would be interested in any egg swap or sales as we are very much struggling to find any unrelated birds.
With reference to the egg colour ours lay a variety of shades from off white to light brown. Our fertility is excellent but in danger of hatching lots of chicks but no unrelated birds to pair with!!!!

Hi Tim, I looked at your Blog, lovely chick pictures. Where are you??? How did you find the contact details for the breeder you got your eggs from?? many thanks Marion.

Hi, were having to sell up, so if you are interested in any of our birds phone Phil on 07915099474 and make him an offer. Sad to see them go, i've enjoyed helping Phil, it's been like having my childhood back. Hope you can come to an arrangement as the Cemani are stunning birds in peak condition. he also has a 50% chocolate hen, which would produce 75% chocolate cockerels, never bred before, put these back to a cemani and you get pure cimani chocolate hen. This would be the start of a new colour to the breed.

Hope your interested

Hi Marion, I live in the Netherlands. The guy that provided me with eggs is actually quite low profile. I don't know why, I guess he is just not into the internet and sharing pictures? Maybe he likes to stay low profile. However, the chickens he had are descendants of the very first Ayam Cemani chickens ever brought to Europe. So my chickens are also baby chicks from the real deal breed. I am hoping to expand my stock after the summer when the first breeding pairs have been put together!

The baby chicks are growing really fast! I will put some new pictures on my blog this afternoon :) Do you also have some pictures you would like to share?

Take care y'all!

Greenfire Farms is going to be importing the Cemani and Swedish Black hens to the US! I'm gonna start saving now! I asked them if they were thinking of importing any of the black fleshed breeds. Woo Hoo!
