Why would holdread let them go instead of saving his own breed?

He is downsizing more and more each year. This year I bought out the rest of his Mini Sebastopol flock.
From my understanding he and his wife are getting older and having a hard time finding trustworthy, reliable help. So cutting back since theres only so many hours in a day. Better to do that and take excellent care of fewer birds than not being able to devote the necessary attention and time to more.

Forgot to update, the covered run is up, and the birds have been loving it! I just keep forgetting to get pictures. I will try my best to remember to get some tomorrow.

They are getting SO pretty! I actually saw someone post about having Aztecs in a group on fb the other day. LOL Crazy since before you got them I had never heard of them.

Love these Aztecs. They look a lot like my Saxony ducks, just smaller.

That way, when I move to Vermont, I can purchase a regiment and the rest of your forces won't even notice.
