B.Y.C. Dorking Club!

Greetings! For those interested in APA/ABA-centric Dorking conversation, I have begun a Dorking thread in the new Exhibition, Genetics, and Breeding to the Standard of Perfection section. This new thread is specifically for the discussion of the Dorking within the context of the SOP and is not meant to replace or detract from your enjoyment of the BYC Dorking Club.

It may be found here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/882047/the-dorking-breeders-thread

Best,

Yellow House Farm
Cool, thanks.

Could you Dorking experts confirm for me that these are both girls? We thought initially that the one with the lighter head might be a boy but now I think girl.

Thanks.

It has been quiet on many of the threads. Those salmon colored feathers on the breast are the way that you know that those are pullets. Cockerels will have black breast feathers. Enjoy them!

Hey, I was the one with egg fertility problems a few pages back. I made some changes based on the helpful suggestions you all gave. Is this...could this be...a fertile egg? I'm not sure, but the one closest to the camera looks at least different than the others to me.

The ones with the rings like a bullseye look fertile.

The bottom and top right eggs look fertile.

I like to say they look like a doughnut because of the up raised edges.
