I'm glad that you got some that you are happy with ... enjoy them. I like that first pic.

Are you're nest boxes too lit?I think my egg faucet just turned on!!! I found two different clutches: one yesterday and one today. and three other random eggs in weird spots. I put golf balls in the nesting boxes but so far they haven't deigned to use them so i'm egg hunting.
Thank goodness dorking eggs are white or I'd never find them!!!
i noticed that last year myself, but attributed it to a lazy roo... i know my red roo is active and his girls' eggs are growing well too.My Dorkings just started laying well, and I have trouble with them wanting to lay in the dirt too. I'll try making the nest boxes darker. Thanks. I also have a question. My eggs were very fertile and hatched well for a time, and now, none of them are developing. I also got some Dorking eggs from a friend and they are not developing either. I would suspect an incubator problem, but the other chicken eggs are doing fine. Is there some kind of seasonal fertility with Dorkings?
where are you located?I didn't see any Dorkings at the Ohio National Show. I am looking for a rooster and another hen.
