BA roo?

I agree that she looks at least 8 weeks old. I think she is a JG though, as I have blue BA hens and they just aren't that burly. I was looking at JGs on Feather site and there is a picture "A lot of two-month-old Black Jersey Giant pullets" and from the photos I believe she would fit right in. My BAs are small, sleek and slender when compared to any of the other pullets I have their age. They also lay a small white egg. If naught else, once she starts laying you should know then, as I believe JGs lay brown eggs.

Hmmm, I thought BA laid a brown egg, right? Are you saying you you have Blue Australorps? And that they lay a white egg?

Do you know if the JG have the white wingtips at this age? I'll take a peek at Feather site if I can find it. (feathersitedotcom?)

I found the feather site and looked at the picture you referenced. Similar, but seem to be missing the white tips I've heard are common to BA.....

I do however see that, as you all agree, she is much older than I had guessed!

BAs definitely lay a white egg. I got a BA and 3 BRs at a day old, and the BA is half the size of the BRs and very sleek comparedly, at 5 weeks old.

I think you guys are thinking of Andalusians, those lay white eggs. From what I gather we are talking about an black australorp here, the chick pictured doesn't look anywhere close to an andalusian.
Black Australorps should never lay a white eggs, they are brown egg layers. Also they should be pretty fluffy, burly chickens(hatchery stock is about half as large as my SQ stock but they still are a big bird).

@OP - What colour are the bottoms of the feet? White skin = Australorp, yellow = Jersey Giant.
I think its a cockerel, since with my Aussies I don't have any colour or fleshiness to the comb until laying. But the Exhibition line I am working with a 10 month old cockerel could pass for a pullet if you look at the head, but he has about 5 saddle feathers so clearly a roo
