And the start of her long lasting (in my opinion) awkward phase

I'm not seeing white tips on the wings of JG in my brief image search. Funny side note though...every image I click on leads me to a BYC page!!!

Either way, we are not thinking roo right? I already got one in the bunch and I'd hate to see this sweetie go. Darn city rules......

SORRY I forgot to quote! This was in reply to mother-o-chick!

That is a BEAUTIFUL chick! I love the feather pattern!

It's kinda funny - I take guesses on other people's chickies but can't figure out what my one is & you know what, the body shape of your EE is similar to my bebe's. Others have said mine is an EE, Brown Leghorn, OEGB, BBR OEGB & I can't remember what the others were now.

The majority say mine is a roo - most of them are unsure - while the rest think it's a pullet. Which leaves me like this lol

I'm thinking yours is a roo...

On your BA I would guess 10 weeks and a pullet... the EE might be a roo. Coloring is more roo... I just rehomed one that looked similar but you might want to wait a bit on that one.

WOW! You really think 10 weeks? Would you mind if I dug up a picture of her the day we got her and showed a comparison to our known day olds? I'd love to know her age a bit better if possible. (not that in a year it will matter any....).

I guess her being 10 weeks and having such a small lightly pink comb bodes well for her future in our family! YAY!

Definitely between 8-10 weeks in my opinion, but I do think its a BA pullet. I have one, same white wing tip (I think it goes away after while because it's gone) and around 15-18 weeks the wattles and comb will get redder and bigger.

Yes, I agree that it's a nice, big BA pullet!

Mother o'Chicks, I hate to say it, but I believe you have a little boy there. He has the classic silver EE roo coloring. I had one just like him and had to rehome him. I visit him regularly, and he's turned into a gorgeous fellow!

YAY! We can keep her. She is an odd chicken, but I've grown to love her. I'm going with pullet until I hear otherwise.

Whoopeeeeee!

Also glad to hear that she is a BA, not that there is anything wring with JG, it's just that I'm only allowed a few chickens and chose my breeds carefully. I really wanted a BA.

Thanks for your opinions.
