Best to find someone with goats.

If you try to get a permit, I know here in Ohio they will come and take the fawn, and file charges on your dad for taken the fawn from the wild.

Did you find out if its a buck or doe??

Doe her name's Babe, she already sorta knows her name atleast when I say it she looks at me.

What are your plans for it when she is too old to be living in your garage happily?

My dad wants to take her out to one of our rental homes near where we found her and let her loose with a tag in her ear and leave food out for her, but Im planning on calling the Great Plains Nature Center about it they take animals in and a Tanganeka (or whatever you call it) has all sorts of bottle fed animals.

I'm sure she will be happy where ever she goes.

I wonder how she will adjust to other deer, and everyday living with out human care. Should be interesting to have a wild "pet deer"

Doe thats great, she will make a great pet. If you keep her you will need a 8 ft fence.

If you let her loose, just dont let her make friend with dogs. She will need to be scare of them.

Deer are not taught much from their mother, other than to run from danger. She would be safe to release, except for hunters, dogs, beware stray dogs can kill her without getting in the pen.

If it was a buck you could never release him,as he would be a danger to humans.

Dont put anything on her she could get caught on something. If you cant keep her up during hunting season, refector paint.

Deerman, now that you say that about bucks.
What is that movie where someone creates something too powerful and he has to kill it? Terminator? Frankenstien?
I don't remember.

This scenario is not so unusual. I live in "big-buck-country" here where the tall corn grows and makes antlers great big. I have a neighbor that raised a fawn 3 years ago. She adapted from garage, to yard, to woods around the house. Today she will sometimes bring her own fawn up to the deck to get a peanut M&M from one of their family members.

Most of all, I just want to say, what a lucky girl you are to have a dad like that. He's teaching you responsibility, compassion, and nurturing.

And, here, on this board, you're learning to stand up for what you believe is right. 'Atta-girl.
