First I just want to say thank you everyone for all of the wonderful information. I am bating mallard eggs and they are right on time for hatching. One hatched today around 4pm and several more have pipped and are starting to zip. I'm a nervous wreck... Lol I do have a few post hatch questions. Will they be able to find their feeder on their own? I am feeding duck starter, do I need to add the Brewers yeast to it or will duck starter have enough on its own? It's hot here, how old do they have to be before I can let them explore for short periods of time? Thanks so much

Oh 1 last question, my husband is convinced that handling them right after hatching is bad for them. Is this true?
