Me too. I made him a diaper and he followed me around the house while I cleaned today. He also kept us company in the garden last night. He tried to eat the peas. XD He thinks he's so big!
I know he'll be happier with a Mama that could stay with him all the time. He's always peeping right now, poor thing.
Oh, I found my bantams nest this morning! I was working in the coop and she came out for a drink, so I followed her around until she went back to her nest. She is in the lean-to shed! We have is fenced off, but apparently she can fit through the lattice. She just jumped through the hole and went to her little nest. She has 8 eggs. :)

Looky! :D She's not happy about being moved from her nest, but she has accepted Thor. The ducklings have not made any progress. I think one might be a twin... I don't know for sure, but it looked like 2 bills when I candled it. They have lopsided air cells. I don't know if that usually harms the hatching process or not, but I'm going to look it up.

I suspect he's a boy... He acts like a rooster.

We have 1 duckling! I'm having to help them, but I'm trying not to help too much. He was able to push out of his shell on his own after I helped him zip. He's beautiful. :) I'm helping the others zip right now and we'll see how they do. I have no idea why they are having so much trouble. The hatched guy looks perfect from what I can see.

I walked out to find this this morning:

Thor was just riding around on her.

It was adorable!

My first baby Muscovy.

Ducks are so much cuter than chicks when first hatched! They don't have that same weird slimy look that chicks have.
(They are still slimy of course, just not the same.) His legs are beautiful!

congrats on your duckling!! aww im so glad that Thor has adapted well and can meet his new brother or sister in a couple of hours! that picture of Thor and his new mom is adorable

are you going to bring the ducklings out as soon as they dry off? or wait until it gets dark?

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! I want ducks now...but I think my husband wouldn't approve of both ducks and chickens! We're only on half an acre [even though our neighbors have ponies and a pig]

I hope your duckies start hatching out soon!!
