Hello all! I have a broody hen and am considering having her hatch some eggs for me. My neighbor asked me if he could add a couple eggs as well. If I allow my hen to hatch fertilized eggs and raise the chicks to 8 weeks, will she be sad if I take them from her to give to my neighbor? I don’t want to upset my hen and take away her babies!

You won’t be taking away all of them. By 8 weeks she make have already cut them loose anyway. Play it by ear. Mine still stays with her babies and they are as big as her now.
