Baby Aussies!! Updated w/ new pics- pg 2

Here are a couple of pics- there are 6 healthy strong ones with Mama and Papa. I've got 1 weaker hatched one and 1 who pipped but hasn't hatched all the way yet inside in a shoe box underneath a heat lamp...misting water, food and water being used. I hope they survive and get strong enough to join their family tonight or tomorrow.

yay!!! The baby in the egg hatched and is doing well now too! They have each other to gain strength with and they won't be alone now. I hope to be able to put them out with their family tomorrow sometime. They are so tiny!

Well done!!! Such cute little ones. Although I always use the incubator to hatch now- its still great to see pics of moms and bubs together.

Thanks you guys! I'm hoping that since my Aussie mama sat about a day before my Mandie mama, the Mandarins still have a chance of hatching.

I'll get more pics later today or tomorrow- the sun's not shining now, but it may later on.

Ok- Success! I brought the 2 babies that I had indoors out to the family when they were close to the pen door...the 6 babies were all walking around pecking at crumbles and checking out this and that. I just set the 2 babies down near them all and shut the door and watched. They joined the group, mom and dad kept them all together, and they are all getting along nicely. In fact, just now I went out and all 8 are under mom getting warm again. (Its only 68 outside and overcast.) So, as long as they eat and drink and stay close by, they should be fine I'm thinking.

One brave little one found the ladder into the pool and took a short swim...after trying to hop out a few times unsucessfully, he found the ladder back out.

Yea! So cute! I have Aussies hatching today too and a couple hens that *finally* seem like they are going to go broody. I am glad you had success and it looks like some of all three colors even.
