baby bad wings is sick - help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like she is a fighter. And you have time to get her healing herself. Also sounds like you have a good vet if you need one!

I understand how she is one special little hen!!! Yes, withhold the food. It will be hard believe me I know but you have to in order to get what has soured to pass through her. The ACV helps with killing the yeast growing in there. Isn't the nystatin that can be given orally only by prescription???

Update. Yes, I do have a wonderful vet who is also my friend. I try to come here first because I don't like to bother her with every little thing that goes wrong. And there has been a ton of stuff going on here lately.

I took her in to her office and she did an xray but it showed nothing. Then, she suctioned out her crop which only held fluids and the little bit of food she ate this morning. She is now on antibiotics and got fluids injected under her skin in case she was dehydrated. She is in the basement resting a lot as she is very lethargic and sleeping a lot. Hope she pulls through again. :–)

Do you think maybe the suctioning might have caused that??? Maybe call the vet and just ask?? I hope she starts to perk up! Please keep up updated!! I don't know but maybe the suctioning just stimulated everything in there and maybe the trauma of the suctioning maybe caused some bleeding?
Keep us posted on how she is doing!!!

It wasn't the suctioning, I noticed it again this morning and upon closer inspection, I see now that she has worms and I think this is her whole problem, my friend the vet said that the crop problem is usually like a secondary problem to something else going on. Now I know what that something is. Ewwww… My dogs eat their poo all the time and I hate to admit this but I clean up their dirty shavings every morning in their coop with my hand. There is never very much poo as they aren't inside for long but YUCK, YUCK, YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This opens up a whole new can of worms, so to speak!

Oh goodness!!! Is she strong enough to tolerate the worm medicine? That can take a toll on them as well. My vet did not want me to worm one of my girls until she was stronger. She said she was too weak and the worm medicine itself might kill her because she was so weak.
