Baby chick bath?

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Chickens or chicks don't necessarily like to be wet and actually it may prevent them from cooling off properly. You might put icecubes in the waterer, put a fan on low in their area to move still hot air, even a few cool treats like watermelon or cold blueberries.

Only 4 we are starting small on our flock I thought that because it is so hot outside here that maybe it would be good for them to cool down.

Amy, Just be very careful when they are that young, and keep their butts clean. and feed carefully! and they are trainable at that age as well.

Have you seen the dust baths members have made for their birds? That would be fun for them also!
You can use dry dirt, wood ash, dry sand...and they will roll and fluff! That's the way chickens like to stay clean!
