Baby chick missing feathers?! Will it be ok?!

Anyways, I got these black copper marans yesterday. They are 8 days old today. The lady told me this little birds feathers were stuck to the membrane when he hatched and pulled his feathers out. Have any of you ever seen this? Do you think he will be ok? He seems to be acting fine right now...

Sometimes chicks do loose their feathers in very unattractive ways... we had a chick in the last batch that lost all her neck feathers and the wing feathers on one side all at once. When I first noticed it I thought that she'd been attacked but reconsidered when I realized that there was no bleeding.

It took ours about 10 days for the feathers to come in. Meanwhile remember that the unprotected skin could burn if the heat lamp is too close.
