Just reread your original post. It sounds like he responded to the nutrient fluid. Keep that going, along with warmth.

also make sure the chick doesnt overheat. i know that when hatched they need a cool spot away from the heat lamp to get to in case they get too hot
I was holding him for a bit. But I put him back in with the two other chicks under the heat lamp because they cuddle together. And he can’t really hold his head up to eat, but I’m going to try to make a mash and feed it to him.I would cradle him in your hands and get a little feed into him before you bother with the sling. I agree it seems to be pretty critical.
I definitely will keep you updated. And earlier he was kicking around more, but he’s seemed to lose energy. He’s limp now when I hold him.the chick sounds very much alive to me. seems to want to get up but cant. i wish you luck and keep us updated on what happens!
I actually have another chick (#2 lol ) there’s 3. But #2 is sitting like that. With his legs out in front of him. But he’s staring to walk pretty well.Such a bummer. Poor little dude. I had a bantam chick that couldn't stand when she hatched - legs kicked out in front of her like she was sitting. I named her Paddles. I did some physical therapy with her until she could stand on her own. She definitely didn't look as down and out as your little guy though. I hope he turns around.
