I'm a newbie to backyard chickens. Im concerned as i have a 2-3 week old chick, she as active as the rest and she never eats much, her crop is never full like the rest and just dosent seem to grow she could be a bantam but her feathers are way bigger than her body.
They did have lice and just been treated she was riddled in them.
I adore her and really want her to live. This morning she had a bit of poo stuck to her bum, so I cleaned it as you do and noticed a bit of blood my other chicks are all fine.
They are on medicated chick starter have fresh water and warm enough. Just treated for lice with safe product and I cleaned out brooder box.
I asked about worming and the stockfeed said not until 3 months generally as that's the life cycle of worms.
Please help I love her and want to help her.

You could try treating with Corid for possible coccidiosis or taking some fresh droppings into your vet for a fecal float to look for parasites. Giving probiotics may also help. Some use buttermilk mixed with a small amount of cooked rice for probiotics, and plain Greek yogurt also is good.

They have treated chick starter that has that in it. I wouldn't go to the extreme of taking a chicken poop to the vet.
I did just gave them some probiotics in water.
