This is my rooster Rocky and my mothers hen Frappe. Sadly Frappe has passed away, Rocky is still kickin though. This was taken a month ago BTW

These are some of 19 that hatched around March 31st. Mutt eggs from a neighbor. She said the Roo was sex link and she has cuckoo maran, jersey giant, australorp, and black sex link hens that I can tell, and some other, mostly dark feathered flock.

So what do you think they are?

I think that's the cuckoo maran coming through. I can see some are definitely beginning to look like Australorps, but a few are showing black legs yellow feet, so I hoping for some jersey in them.

Here are my 8 babies...4 are about 8 weeks old and 4 are about 4 weeks.
This is a first for me. I've never had chickens before and wanted to start off with a sweet breed.

These were my first batch back in April; 2 Barred Rocks, 2 RIRs, and 2 Black Sex Links.


And then here are my EEs I couldn't resist when I went back a month later.


All these adorable chicky pictures are already making me want more! I shouldn't be allowed to look!
