Baby Chick Pictures!!!!! POST!

Thanks for the ovations for my pics Peeps! Makes me motivated to show a few more. These Birdtrude shots were taken two days ago. I'm shocked every morning when I get her out of her cage, longer wing and tail feathers, longer legs and neck, big feet... I feel like I should look for the hidden camera and someone switched her out for a bird that's weeks older. Where's my fuzzy baby? Crazy growth! And she still looks like a girl right? I'd really hate to have to start calling her Dudetrude and buy some earplugs to sleep in.
How old is she? I'd say she still looks like a she. What breed?

Our family is just starting out our adventure with chickens! We ordered 12 chicks from Chickens for Backyards and they all arrived happy and healthy with an additional 3. So we are now the proud owners of 15 chicks :)

Our Buff Brahma Bantams--Lambie, Disgust, and Aurora:

Our Barred Cochin Bantams--Elsa, Anna, and Joy:

Our Welsummers--Lightning McQueen and Tow-Mater:

Our Buff Orpingtons--Buffy and Orpy:

Our Golden Laced Wyandottes--Goldie and Dottie:

Finally, our Easter Eggers--Bing Bong (my favorite!), Abominable Snowman, and Egger:

It's only been a week, and I think we will have chickens for the rest of our lives!

Yay! Congrats on your new biddies!!!!
My first batch of chicks is 13 weeks old now and I love them to pieces. You know you got it bad when you are rubbing your dogs belly and you are thinking "you are such a good girl" but you are saying " peep peep peep peep peep" and she flounces off in disgust. I guess she hasn't learned to speak chick yet.

Here is Twinkie, she just likes to relax in this basket everyday. This is where I find her if she's missing too. :D
