Sugar and honey is a quicker fix if u cant get to store but i do recommend some kinda vitamins fast acting xxx

Assme they been vacc for mareks from wat u said ? Have u checked for pasty butt? Blood in poop etc? If panting could be to hot if shivering not warm enough xxx

i think it would be best for u to give it the hydro hen every 3-4 min. they should perk up after a while. is he eating? try to give him wet chicken food.

Thank you guys so, so much. I'm going to be keeping a very close eye on this chick and tomorrow I'll run up to the feed store and see if they have anything else I can add to the water (vitamins/etc).

This little chick is acting totally normal now, had several normal poops. Little bugger really scared me!

Also yes, vaccinated for mareks though I know it takes time for them to build immunity.

I'm going to put this little one back in the brooder for now and keep a close eye on things. Maybe the brooder plate did get too hot. No panting, but the wings stretched out flat maybe was a clue. I've seen my adult hens stretch their wings out beside them on hot days.

Will post update if anything changes.
