I hope your chick is making an up turn. We always get 6 chicks when we get them. They do better together it seems. We have a food dispenser that we built and put chick starter crumble in it from southern states. We have a water jug that dispenses into a pan. (We change it daily as they kick bedding into it). We have never needed to show them how to eat or drink. They just do it. They sleep together under the heat lamp. Never dropper feed a tiny one. You can drown them. Once we had a sick older chick and carefully gave it Gatorade drop by drop with an eye dropper very slowly for a couple days. She survived. She was a couple weeks old.Alright thank you so much! I didn't know the way i was feeding him was bad. I usually just put a drop of water at the tip of his closed beak or on my finger for him to drink alone. I'll give him the night to rest, and hopefully tomorrow he will be better. Then I'll give all these tips a try. Thank you! He has a water dish as well as baby chick feed close to him right now. Maybe he'll wake up and decide to get some. Thank you!
Good luck and let us know how she is doing.
