baby chick weak!!!!

You say the lamp produces heat but not much light? Is it a red lamp?
I'm not using a red bulb :/ It's a bulb that's in a lamp that's shaped like a cylinder, so there's mostly light at the ends where there's not glass if you understand what I mean. Should I switch to a lamp that's only the bulb?

The fact that he's resting but still peeping sounds to me like too cold but it could be anything, that's just where I'd start. What are you feeding it? Any ACV or chick saver in the water? Is it's crop full?
He's not peeping anymore since we let him sleep in the box. I've been piping sugar water into his beak for a little and fed him a little bit of water mixed with corn flour so it's more liquidy. I don't know if he drinks and eat by himself, but I put a little pot of kibble that I got from the lady who gave me the eggs and soaked it in warm water next to him as of right now.

Maybe I'm just concerned because he's sleepy like he should be? The first couple of days that we had him he chirped a lot at night and throughout the day, which I'm now assuming is because the light was too much for him?

Do you have a hot water bottle? It is important you warm him as quickly as possible. If you have one, wrap it in a towel and put it under him. It will warm him while waiting for the lamp to heat.

He would have been chirping because he was too cold most likely.
