Baby chick with chewed off toes

I'm so sorry! That's awful!

I unfortunately don't have much advice, but if you decide to let it live (I would personally not cull for now) it will probably need a lot of extra care. I do not believe that the chick's feet will ever fully grow back to normal, but I could be wrong as chickens heal from amazing things.

:hugs:hugs
Hugs for both you and the chick.
Thank you and yeah I’m choosing to keep it as an inside chicken lol

It definitely will happen again if the chicks aren't in a secure brooder. I know parrots are smart. If it were me the chicks would be in a room or an area where the parrot has no access to the chicks. Padlock the parrot's cage when you leave the room. It could be worse the next time. :(
Yeah I’ve been placing them In the restroom in the mean time as I clean and just fortify the parrots cage

Update 1: so far the baby chick is trying very hard to get back up and has been mad ever since because it can’t get up cuz of the leg wraps as well as no feet to stand on. Thankfully tho it’s has lots of energy and hasn’t stopped eating or drinking water and it cries just as much as it’s siblings ( pic of it eating medicated crumble)

If it's not bleeding much, could you just put little bandaids on his feet like people do with the deformities?

I've been watching this thread. Poor thing.
I just changed the wraps earlier and there’s minimal bleeding mainly just crusty dried blood but it’s legs were warm and I’m choosing to keep a loose wrap because it allows air flow. But to be honest if it wasn’t for the leg wraps I think the baby chick would have just tried to walk it off like a champ because it has not stopped trying to get up and it’s been eating and drinking water normally as if it doesn’t even realize it has a major wound

Updated 2 guys I need help my chick is progressing to not eating it started yesterday and if been having to force feed but it keep losing weight rapidly as if it’s not getting any food. I’ve been keeping it warm and in a dark secure place but it will only drink and even drinking is a slow process I’m scared it will choke while drinking water because I’m practically forcing it to drink it’s super lethargic and I’ve had chickens die like this because of how lethargic they get that I can’t do anything I’m prepared for the worst but I’m still forcing it to drinking water and I use a thin syringe to fill the crop but I’m still not sure if what I’m doing will help. Any suggestions as to what I can do to help it ?
