hello. i am new to hatching eggs. i have a 9200 and turn the eggs manually. i tried dry incubation this time and put the incubator on lockdown about 28 hrs ago. i got my first chick within 12 hrs and 1 more fully hatched about 8 hrs later and another on it's way. i have to open the incubator a crack every 4-6 hrs to rotate my duck eggs. the temp only drops a couple degrees at most 100 down to 98 and the humidity barely changes. all that being said, my concern is the baby chick running around rotating all my eggs! i have read that the eggs should not be rotated in the lockdown phase. i have a brooder set up and ready for the chick. is it ruining my other eggs? should i move hit? i read that it should stay in the incubator for 24-48 hrs at least. any suggestions? thank you! :)
