Baby chicks with pasty but! Help!

I have read mixed reviews on molasses for pasty but. Some people say no molasses and some people say definitly. Opinions?
 
I'am pretty sure that I had read on here to put some apple cider vinegar in their water.(with the mother)I use braggs.One tablespoon per gallon of water.
