Baby chicks

My baby chicks r 3 weeks old on starter food ... But I'm wondering if I can or should give them a little plain yogurt

There's a lot of great peeps here! Feel free to ask lots of questions. But most of all, make yourself at home. I'm so glad you decided to join the BYC family. I look forward to seeing you around the run. I'm sorry, but I'm not sure. I know my grown girls love it. But chicks can be complicated.

The yogurt shouldn't hurt the babies! Some even use plain yogurt as a treatment for pasty butt.
Just remember all treats should be given in moderation.

So maybe once a day ? Does it give them diarrhea?

They will do just fine on their chick starter - it is made for young chicks.

A little plain yogurt is ok once in a while for the chicks, yogurt has probiotics in it which is good for their digestion. As already stated by a previous greeter, keep the treats to a minimum or the chicks will fill up on that instead of their nutritionally balanced feed.
