Baby died in incubator during lockdown

There definitely isn't any pips, I put the eggs in 4th May, my quails hatched on the 28th which is 6 days late! One chick hatched on the 30th making it around 5 days late too, I see movement only in one egg now the others I can't tell, my temp clearly is lower then I thought it was, I was only using the thermometer on the incubator. They're now a week late, is it worth waiting 2 days longer? Should I increase the temp?
Also I am using a still air styrofoam incubator, its my first hatch so didn't know better

At a week late there isn't really much hope in hatching anything. I'm sorry. :( Definitely look into getting a secondary thermometer so that you can adjust your incubator temps. Here is a good link on calibrating thermometers.

It's ok! No matter how much you read ahead of time, it's always a learning experience. :hugs Something to consider with still air incubators is that in order to get better temps throughout the incubator you often need to set the temp higher anyway, sometimes as high as 102F. In my still air incubator I usually had mine set at 100-100.5F to get 99.5 in the most locations in the bator. There will always be hot and cold spots in there so you can either avoid them or rotate the eggs around the incubator to help give them a more consistent incubation.

Thanks for your help @CluckNDoodle I think I'm going to switch off the incubator today and try returning it :(. Looking for a chick for the one that did hatch so he's not alone forever, he's been with our quail chicks he's starting to think he's one haha he plays just like them now. I think it must've been bacteria from the dead quail baby that messed up the rest of the hatch because before that almost all eggs hatched. Feels horrible giving up on all these fully developed babies but I don't think they'll hatch either. Going to find a better incubator that is visible inside.

:hugs I'm sorry! No matter what Incubator you get to replace it, I would get a secondary thermometer to calibrate and check against the Incubator.
