Also I am using a still air styrofoam incubator, its my first hatch so didn't know betterThere definitely isn't any pips, I put the eggs in 4th May, my quails hatched on the 28th which is 6 days late! One chick hatched on the 30th making it around 5 days late too, I see movement only in one egg now the others I can't tell, my temp clearly is lower then I thought it was, I was only using the thermometer on the incubator. They're now a week late, is it worth waiting 2 days longer? Should I increase the temp?
Definitely look into getting a secondary thermometer so that you can adjust your incubator temps. Here is a good link on calibrating thermometers.
Something to consider with still air incubators is that in order to get better temps throughout the incubator you often need to set the temp higher anyway, sometimes as high as 102F. In my still air incubator I usually had mine set at 100-100.5F to get 99.5 in the most locations in the bator. There will always be hot and cold spots in there so you can either avoid them or rotate the eggs around the incubator to help give them a more consistent incubation.
