Baby duck has clear mucus coming out nose

My baby Indian runner, about 6 days old, has some weird clear mucus coming out her nose. She was a little tired when I got home today, but still eating and drinking. It came out when I picked her up. What should I do, and is this normal?

It shouldn't be something to worry too much about. Do they have deep water to dunk their heads in? Ducks clean their nares and eyes in water.

I also give my ducklings baths in warm water to help encourage cleaning. Not all ducks are great at cleaning themselves. You just need to make sure you dry them off after the bath and keep them warm. Plus, it is super fun to watch them swim! Just don't leave them alone in the bath, they will get tired out and can drown if they are in too deep of water with no one to take them out. It is hard to imagine anyone leaving them, cause they are way too cute not to watch!

We had that happen once and it was really freaky. It wasn't completely clear though. The duck is still with us. Nares drainage; like sinus drainage maybe.

Update:
They are now 3 weeks and 1 day old and are fine. Thanks for all the support. It was a fluke incident I believe, and only happened once.

What kind of food is she eating? If it is medicated chick food she will throw up and stuff will come out of her nostrils.
