I have 4 ducks, two that truly believe they are chickens and live with chickens in the coop. Those two are full grown and in the nature of sticking with Obama's gender equality I let them believe what they want. They other two are only about a month old. They live in a little duck house by the pond. They are in the pond every day which makes my wife and I very happy. We noticed last night however that the young ducks eat up all of the lilly pads and other vegetation in the pond that my wife has worked very hard to beautify. The big ducks do not touch the pond vegetation when they come to the pond for a visit. So my question is will these young ducks grow out of eating everything.

It depends - can go 2 ways:
1 - they like it and continue to like it and therefore continue to eat it
2 - they like it now and outgrow liking it and leave them alone.

My girls used to love a little fern plant when they were ducklings - won't touch it as adults.
