Baby duck umbilical cord

So good to see it up.
I've never heard of wine yeast. Might be best to find Nutritional yeast it has more niacin in it anyway and that is the reason for using it.
If the little one has splay legs try using a bandaid this link will take you to info on making leg hobbles.

How precious! usually only takes 2-3 days to get the splay legs straightened up so hopefully by the time the one pipping hatches this one will be ready to have some fun. Maybe try wetting the feed and see if that entices the little one to eat. Put some on the tip of your finger.

Sad to say the duckling died , no idea why just passed in the night. I can't believe how upset I am , keep crying 😢 egg in incubator pipped 24 hours ago but no sound or movement since ,

Oh I am so sorry. Must have had something internal going on. Poor little one. :hugs

Have you candled the egg in the bator to see what's going on?
Hi , candled and no movement , enlarged pipped hole and duckling had died since external pip. Never been quite so upset by a hatching before, it's put me off hatching ducks , for now anyway. Thanks for all the help and support
