baby duck with lots of problems

Que Sera and I sit outside for a couple of hours today. The two momma ducks paraded the two babies (Turbos brothers or sisters ) past Que Sera today. She was laying beside me and she didn't pay a bit of attention to them. I'm still wondering what color she is going to be. She's still yellow in places with a lot of white feathers coming in. She is doing more quacking then the whistle sounds she used to make. She's growing up to fast.

Que Sera did her little happy dance again today. I always take her food and water out when we go outside. Of course all the teenager chickens and ducks have to eat and drink out of her dishes. Even tho they have food and water I guess they think hers is better. She did venture off a little from me and actually had her back to me which surprised me. Yes she is gaining her independence a little each day. She's not screaming anymore when I pick her up her feathers must be growing in more. She still doesn't want me to hold her or pet her.

I've named Turbo's brothers or sisters Yoo Hoo (after the chocolate milk drink) and Hershey. I don't know how the mommas hatched brown ducks. All of our ducks are white, gray or fawn colored. I'll try and get some pictures of them and Que Sera soon. Yoo Hoo and Hershey won't let me come near them. It sure won't be a close up of them.

She hasn't mastered the steps going up or down yet so she can't follow me in when I come inside. She stands at the bottom of the steps screaming until I can catch her to bring her in.

She got in the pool today and loved it. I have to stand beside her while she kicks and splashes or she'll jump out if I walk away. She's still my shadow I'm still her mommy.

I haven't forgotten about the pics. I'll try and get them taken tomorrow.
