Well this is crazy, here I am talking about a turtle on the duck site. You all know I've been trying to find something that Jeffrey would eat besides bananas. I finally found it. This morning I cut him up a little bite of Ozzies steak, some of the boiled chicken, strawberries and of course his peas. He ate all of the chicken I was shocked. From now on I will call it the mystery meat since he lives here amongst the chickens and the ducks.

I don't mind Patty. I enjoy the discussion about Jeffrey. It is fun. Good that he ate some protein. Good, we will not tell him what the mystery meat is.

I know. Cuz, she'd take her passport and go food hunting. I don't want her to do that. She can just stay put.

I bought a nipple waterer about 3-4 yrs ago for my chickens back then they were pretty expensive I think I paid 35.00 it is a blue bucket with I believe 5 nipples on it maybe more [it's up in top of my one duck house] I could never get my chickens interested in it they were use to drinking out of the buckets I had sitting around for the water fowl. So I packed it away. Another thing was size difference i had quite a few bantams and LF too so getting the height right was a problem for me.

Thanks everybody I didn't want to bore you all to death with a turtle that has his own bankie, hot tub (pie pan) and pratically a smorgasboard to eat and hates it all except for the mystery meat. Oh I forgot the banana he does nibble on.

I also thought I would try something different this morning with Clyde's pill. I put half of his half pill in the bread as usual then I took the other half and put in his boiled egg yolk. When the egg yolk hit the ground it split in half and he gobbled the egg and there sit the pill on the ground. It took a half of loaf of bread to get Clyde to get his pill that was dropped. I kept throwing bread away from Clyde and the chickens and ducks kept bombarding Clyde when I would throw his bread with the pill in it. He finally got his pill after they got so full they wouldn't eat anymore bread.

I may have to put this water bucket up too. I don't think Goldie and Coach can reach it then there is Phyllis that is blind in one eye and can barely see out of the other one. Then Jr. would have to come out of his cage to get to it and probably Bubba would beat him up. I still have the water bowls down for now but I think it's a lost cause too. He
