baby duck with lots of problems

Turbo's flipping has improved so much. I might have to put him right side up about 5 times a day as compared to his first couple of days where I had him in a box beside me I had to flip him back every couple of minutes. The box in the cage is helping him also by giving him support as he walks by it. Que Sera gives him moral support and I've seen him flipped and she will walk over his belly and he will kick his self over.

Every morning when I wake up and he is still alive I thank the lord for this blessing.. Miss Lydia you've helped us so much and I am so grateful for all your help and support and everyone elses too.

That's great! So glad he keeps improving. You are being a wonderful duck mom to them. Thank you for caring for them so much and sharing Turbo's struggle with us!

Miss Lydia I posted on Quackers site and she replied. I know you will be happy to read about him. He's living on a farm with 2 acreas of land and two ponds.

Turbo and Que Sera are doing great this morning. Some how they have turned the cage into a swimming pool. I guess it was the almost unlimited supply of water from the new water container. Their not treading water yet but they are working on it. I'm off to clean the cage and feed the chickens and ducks. It seems like a shame to clean the cage I know they've worked hard on this little project.

Have a great day everyone Turbo is still wobbly but i see progress everyday.

I sure do agree, it's so heartbreaking when we read of little ones struggling to live and the battle they face, but wow so exciting when we hear they are making progress and are going to be okay. You have done so much to help get Turbo get on his feet literally pattyhen you deserve all the credit.

we'll continue to be his rooting section here.

Turbo and Que Sera went outside yesterday in the grass. Turbo caught a fly and he was very proud of his self. I had a mother duck come up to us and demanding I give her these two little ducks. Turbo hid behind my shoe he didn't want any part of this quacking mom. Que Sera was curious but since Turbo was afraid she joined him behind the protective shoe. She has to follow the leader which of course is Turbo.

I think I will put them in the sink today to see how they do. The first time Turbo got in the sink he did real good but the second time he couldn't hold his balance enough to do any swimming. I'll let you all know how that goes.

I noticed that Turbo is alot smaller then his brothers and sisters. I guess with all his problems it's going to take a while for him to catch up. Que Sera is still smaller then Turbo but she will probably catch up with him soon. I just hope she's not half pekin. I do have one male pekin in the flock of ducks.

Thanks for the rooting section I enjoy telling about their little escapades. I hope I don't bore you all. Have a great day everyone.

Miss Lydia speaks for me, too, in this case.

Sorry I'm late with the update but we were babysitting the great granddaughter today. The daycare was closed because of the holiday. I don't think I had the water deep enough for Turbo to swim yesterday. He just stood and watched Que Sera. Let me tell you Que Sera's swimming made Ester Williams look boring. She kicked from the sides she dove she splashed while Turbo stood there amazed. She did way to much splashing for his liking tho.

I'll try and get some pictures of them tonight. Turbos bill has healed completely. He still has a small spot on his head where the scab fell off and I keep putting the neo on that. They drenched their little box last night and now they have a tin cookie tin to lay in. If Que Sera gets any bigger they won't be able to fit in it togeather for very long. I call them the two peas in a pod when they are laying side by side.

I hope everyone is having nice Memorial day.
