baby duck with lots of problems

I bet Eva was a big hit. Alot of folks in Nursing homes had farms and can relate to chickens and ducks since they may have had them in the past, and who can not like a tiny sebright chicken I bet she was adorable.
Eva enjoyed herself as much as Mom and the others enjoyed having her. Eva began her life as Evil Knivel (sp motorcycle rider). She was the first to jump out of the brooder box. When I heard the other chicks peeping I knew Eva had jumped out. She was the leader of the pack outside when they first went out. They followed her she was fearless. We were shocked when she laid an egg all of us thought she was a male. Later in life she crowed.

Yes, Patty, it does. Holding and staring at them also does wonders for me. They are so warm and soft. Jibby bit my lip when I kissed the side of his face and it was painful but I didn't mind. Put him back in the cage quickly cuz I didn't want to stress him. Told him it was his fault for being so cute.
awww Jibby might have been just kissing you back.

Maybe Jibby was hungry. Feed that poor baby!

Well Dave now has responsibility of a wife and kids so he is very busy.Is that Dave in your Avatar? such a handsome fellow.

Opie has a harem and sometimes he needs a break from it all that's when he comes in an chills for a while. He use to have only 2 girls but now since 2 drakes went to new homes he has responsibility of 5 girls and is still getting use to it. lol
Yes, that is Dave as my avatar. He does have a very big responsibility now to take care of his family (though he's only just started taking that responsibility seriously..when they first hatched he was a little (lot) to rough with them so he wasn't allowed around them until now when they're about his size and can protect themselves) Opie reminds me of Dave so much..only I got him when he was 6 months old, didn't really rescue him or anything but he's still my baby, was my first duck (i've only had him about a year now) but he'll come and knock on the back door until someone lets him in when it all gets to much and he wants a break.

Do you have any pics of Dave I would love to see him. He sounds like a very responsible husband.

me too. Wanna see pics.
I've got lots of pictures of Dave to post, i'll post a few of his Family as well, i've only got older pictures though because Dave wont let me hold him right now, he's molting and I think he looks adorable but he doesn't wanna be held..do new feathers coming in hurt? The pictures of his family will be from the day or the day after they were born (the babies not his wife lol)

Dave playing with his boxes from Christmas..he loves them and dog toys

Lady (Dave's wife) and a duckling, personally my favorite picture of them

Dave lovesss dog food..he used to only eat it and duck food, thankfully he likes fruits and veggies now too!

All nine of the ducklings, the neighborhood cats and other animals wanted them so we moved them into a kennel for a while.

Dave right before he tried to bite my camera haha

My avatar picture (and one of my favorites of Dave)

Dave and our old Dog Re, he loved her fur and would lay next to her and nibble on her foot fur and loved her tail and ears..she passed away a few months ago though

I'm sorry about Re. Pets are wonderful loving beings and it's hard to lose them. I love Dave and Lady. Her all pancaked with that baby kills me. Why are your ducks so cute? How does that happen? I mean, as a burd, they are tops along with zebra finches and hummers. Geese too. At least with gooses and ducks, unlike finches and hummers, at least you can touch them alot if they let you.
