baby duck with lots of problems

Pink kink may work keep everyone feeling real happy.  Julie that is what Sam is doing with Opie helping him molt.  Although I haven't seen Sam get Opie in the last couple days.  But the missing neck feather tells the tale.

Poor little duck finches having to help each other molt, lol

Patty I don't like squabbles either nor anyone picking on another one especially if the one getting picked on is older and can't do much to protect themselves any more.
Oh no. I know Opie picked on Sam first but hasn't Sam been doing it longer now? Can Opie just maybe avoid him?

We haven't forgotten you Garner and we sure did miss you. Thanks for the posting the pics of your babies. They are so cute and they are getting huge. I hope they do well in the coop tonight I know your going to worry about them. Are they all girls or can you tell yet?

It is not stupid to ask Patty. I never knew what it was until it was explained to me recently.

You have an amazing handle on your birbs' lineage. So how many years apart are grandfather and grandson?
I feel like I'm living in the dark ages here.

I used to keep records of when we hatched the chickens and all then I kind of got out of the habit. I know that Louise had the top knot and feathered feet so she had to be half silkie and then she was tiny like the sebrights. We first started out with just silkie chickens and Jr. comes from that line. I just found my old record book and we started out with 6 silkies in Aug. of 2002. Ok so Snowflake our original silkie rooster we got in 2002 then we hatched Chance in 2003 and Jr. was Chances son so he was hatched probably around 2004 or 2005. So that makes Jr. about10 or 11 years old and Bubba is about 3 years old. I didn't realize Jr. was that old. I don't have a record of when Jr. was hatched but I would guess that is right.
