Baby duck wont uncurl its head from its body

That's what mine with the infection looked like, but don't give up hope quite yet, 'cause I've had several that look like that that did okay.

I had a duckling like that once i didn't now it had an infection until it was too late

If it has an infection I'm afraid there isn't much you can do.

Yes and no... It got him to the point where he got strong enough to eat, drink and walk, but the deformity was pretty severe and soon the brace couldn't keep his neck straight.

I'd give it some time before doing anything besides observing closely. Looks like it hatched quickly and just needs time to gain some strength.
I would give some Nutridrench when moved to the brooder, along with some clean water..
