Baby Easter Eggers appreciation thread!

These cuties with their gorgeous eyeliner are “azure eggers” which seems close enough to EE to show them off

One we call “Dottie” because of her prominent forehead dot. The other doesn’t have a name yet. We have another pretty chickie we call “Cleo” because she looks like she has a face full of dramatic makeup! No photo of her yet, though.

Here are my 12 week old baby EEs. They are all so cute -- gotta love em!


That's Zippy because....she IS! in the second picture she looks like she has no head, but trust me, she does. Got the pouffy cheeks and all. It's a challenge to get her to look at the phone for 5 seconds, let alone to hold still for a picture. She's a "redhead" at heart, doing her own thing.

Then her sister Pepper, who is more laid back and a true lap chicken, loves to be petted and grab some ZZ's on my lap. And hubby's.

Your 2 girls look very similar to 2 of my girls. And they looked almost exactly like yours as chicks

So... I don't have any Easter Eggers yet, but I'm getting there. I have white egg layers and dark to light brown egg layers. I just need to get some beautiful blue and green egg layers so that I can have some EE chicks in my flock next spring!

Anyway, all of these chicks are mixes, and personally I think they're too adorable not to have mini photoshoots with!




(Btw they're a little over 5 weeks old now, I'll post more recent pics if anyone wants to see them!)

This is our first time hatching... my rooster is an EE and my hens are a bit of everything (light Brahmas, Marans, Speckled Sussex, mixes) so my chicks are ???!!? I also got some eggs from my neighbors mixed flock.
