baby geese and ducklings on the way concearned about...

I have been reading lots of posts about the geese, preparing for my arrivals wednesday, its good to know im not the only one with this much excitement anxiety. But reading more posts poses more questions:

If theyre so aggressive about their nests, how do you collect eggs?
Will they know it if one of their eggs is marked or missing?
If I free range the geese, how far do they tend to roam?
The place I ordered mine from required ordering 1 male for 3 females, so I got 2 males for the 4 females I wanted, are the two males going to be a problem for eachother? Can one male do the job?
Thank you ll for yourinsight.

Most of my geese did not care about my taking their eggs. However, I had a couple that were very protective of their nests and I would have to wait for them to leave to eat/swim to snag eggs.
They don't care if eggs are marked but do notice if all the eggs are taken from nest.

My African flock live on 9 acres and free range the entire property, but spend a large portion of their time by their feeding area. They are serious homebodies and never wander off. If I let them, they would spend all their time on my front porch or driveway.

If the two males are raised together, it is extremely unlikely they will have a problem. I have quite a few pairs of males that have been raised up together and they stay best friends during breeding season.

But remember some will fight even if best friends. But if you raise them together they seem to get along better. My geese free range during the day and will go all over the open space on our acreage. But when first let out know I feed them outside by my front sidewalk. Spend awhile there and nap a bit and then it is up and move to a different place throughout the day. When I go out to feed for the evening feed in their pens just call them and they come.
Geese are home bodies and stay by their home.

Uh oh! The post office is slacking again, my geese didnt arrive today, two days in transit already. According to the usps tracking number, theyre still 1500 miles away...... the breeder told me i might be expecting losses, and let them know. Anything you could think of to prepare me for caring for stressed or sick goslings from the trip?

Oh, my ducklings were accidentally shipped instead of me picking them up. Theres an extra boy in the box. Theyre alive and well. I will post pictures here shortly.

Heres my lil baby ruan girls. 14 girls and 2 boys. (I checked). Was supposed to be all girls. They are very alert and curious, I had to show them the water, and like lil duckies; they wont stay out of it. Food was difficult for a couple to figure out, but their crops are nice and full now.

Just got my baby geese this morning. All 6 are doing just fine! Im so glad I had them put the gel food in with them. The food was gone. They were happy, healthy and THIRSTY.

They are so much softer than ducklings, they feel like rabbits.
