Baby Quail hatched a day after all the rest and has almsot organs our placenta on her vent. PLZ HELP

I am sorry if he hatched with his insides out side of his body...he is just not meant to be and I doubt there is anything you can do to help him live.
:hugs

I’m going to try to make a sling of some kind and see if it helps him. My hope is if I knew giving him food water and vitamins then he will hopefully be able to somewhat walk, nothing perfect but I can only pray for him to be able to move in gerneral. His insides were not really out fully as I’ve heard of times when intestines where poking out and it’s not that bad for him so I’m hoping he will some how find away. If anyone has any ideas it would be great but I’ll keep this forum updated. My mother has promptly named the chick “Hope”. I’ll use all the knowledge I can find to try to give him a better life. Thanks

Lacking a serious hatch defect such as when an internal organ fails to be incorporated into the body cavity, what you are likely seeing is the chicks vent. A quail is a bird and birds do not have placentas. Neither do birds menstruate or have periods which is the working definition of a placental mammal. Slow developing chicks very commonly have unabsorbed yolk sacs and this is almost always fatal because the chick is dragging its yoke sack through the contaminated dirt and poop in its brooder.

Did it require a humans help for this chick to unzip or hatch?

I feel that this chick's time on this planet is limited. Sorry.
He does not have anything dragging on the ground and I don’t think the yolk sack is hanging out. I think he just popped out to fast and early

:weeIve got good news! Baby hope has regained the ability to walk. While kinda wonky and unbalanced he is running with all the others. Eating fine and drinking water. I’m so happy it’s not even funny, I was so worried but I think she will make it. Thank you guys:ya

:woot

Was stalking this thread for a bit and hoping for your little Hope - glad it's getting better!
Yeah, I think my biggest weakness is I feel so bad for everything and the whole day I was dying inside just thinking about hope. But then I came home and I think it made my week. He’s kinda slow and clunky behind the others but he still follows in the back and is no longer dragging his head so it’s a big win for me. Without this community I would have so many issues go unsolved. I only started hatching because one time I was looking for stuff on chicken coops as I had bought some baby chicks and found the hatching threads on here. After that I’ve wanted to hatch some quail forever! And now I’ve finally got a little flock.:yesss::celebrate
