I'm sorry you're having trouble getting started with your poults! Unfortunately I don't know anything past the fact they're called poults and I'm not even sure on that one!
Posting a thread in the Turkey section of the forum with some details about your set up, and anything else you can add about your deceased turkey baby might help you get some clear answers and some advice for the future. Welcome to BYC. I'm so sorry for your loss, Mark. I've never raised turkeys. I understand poults are a little more delicate than chicks. I'm sure someone who has experience with them will be along to give you some help. You can also post in the emergency forum.

I'm sure as with chicks, poults can also succumb to Failure to Thrive. If that is the case, there is nothing you could have done.

Very likely it's nothing that you have done wrong. The stress of shipping is sometimes too much for them.

@R2elk will need more info on what happend and all that but he can tell you pretty much exactly why it would have died. If he tells you a turkey can pull a freight train get a harness.

It's likely there's nothing you could have done for the one you lost. Turkeys are challenging for the first 8 weeks. What are you feeding them? A good turkey starter will be 24-28% protein and have higher levels of niacin and meth as well as one other ingredient that I can never remember.
