Now lets remember we are here to answer the OP's questions, not cast blame and be nasty. He wan't to find out all the info before he made a decision, weither it was right to take a wild poult and save them from certain death is not the main issue, it was what was the best decision to be made about the deformed ones quality of life. The Poult was put down after the OP gathered the info HE needed to justify culling. It is best to get info on the proper way for each person to do this, because if you do it wrong and have to do it again it wasn't very good for the animal......
