Baby with crooked neck-PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Thanks! I seem to be a sucker for the underdog! I have a scissor beak chick that gets special babying lol so I am sure necker here will be my special duckling too! We all need love!

I have been looking for niacin as suggested in earlier post that is not the flush free or extended release but that is all I have been able to find. I also am not having any luck with Brewers yeast. I did buy some poultry vitamins to mix in their water my duckie is doing better but not complete. I also bought liquid vitamin E and mix it in their food. Any other suggestions? Sometimes it sucks being from a super small town with a small big town to go to. I am going to look for this niacin online and order it but was hoping maybe their might be another suggestion since it will be late in the week before it would get here.

You could try soaking some dry cat kibble in water to soften it and give the duckling a teaspoon twice a day. Animal products contain some niacin. A teaspoon of unsalted tuna or sardines packed in water, not oil or broth would have some niacin.

Guys thanks so much for all the information i have one that was born last night and after reading all the input I feel better about my little one. I will be getting up early to head to the store before work to see what I can get my hands on then anything else I will pick up afterwards. I sure do feel better now!

I will try the cat kibble and will go get some tuna this morning. It's doing better that before so I am seeing improvements which is great! I never knew baby ducks were so much fun!

You guys are full of such great knowledge and I appreciate all the help. I will get my niacin ordered for the future that is for sure!

Glad yours is getting better! FWIW, mine has a crooked neck because it was malpositioned in the egg.

I am happy to report my crooked neck baby is looking awesome. She (they are all girls to me until proven different) is at the point now you have to know her by her markings. She still holds her head a little crooked at times but it is not a noticeable difference. Thanks for all the help!
