I called the post office at 6:15 this morning, they said they didn't see any chickens around. Three minutes later, they called back and said "Oh we found them, they were just really quiet!"
!!!!!!
All of them seem healthy so far, though. 9 bantams, 3 pullets, and 5 red packing peanuts. The kids have already decided that the packing peanuts are theirs . . . I asked them "You know they're going to grow up into roosters, right?" They said they'd just name them "Soup".
Really nice mixture of breeds, though! For my feather footed pullets, I got a black Langshans, a Salmon Falverolle, and a buff Brahma. No idea what my little bantams are. One's a Polish, anyway. Three might be Sebrights. One has feather legs . . . lol. The rest, who knows!
